For 40 years, Bozzuto's Inc. has held the AJB Memorial Charity Classic to help raise funds for area communities and charitable organizations. Giving back to the community started with Bozzuto's founder, Adam J. Bozzuto. Adam believed that success came when you treated your customers and the community like family, going the extra mile to make a difference. The first charity classic began 39 years ago on September 26, 1978, where 148 golfers, 24 tennis players and 8 bocce players gathered at the Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Connecticut; originally called Bozzuto's Sports Charity Classic. When Adam started the Bozzuto's Sports Charity Classic his goal was simple - to bring everyone together in a day of fun and camaraderie to raise funds for those in need living in the communities in which we live and work.

In honor of the late Adam J. Bozzuto, the Sports Charity Classic was renamed the Adam J. Bozzuto Memorial Charity Classic. The popular and highly anticipated annual event has been regarded as the gold standard for industry fundraising events. To date, the event has raised well over $2.5 million for worthwhile organizations such as CSPAAA Educational Foundation, MDA, Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, Feed the Children, Brain Injury Association, Lupus Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, St. Jude's Hospital, Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, as well as others too numerous to mention.

Every dollar raised from your participation goes directly to charity, and in times such as we are now in, every dollar makes a difference in the lives of those in need. Please join us on Monday, September 18, 2017.
